We recently completed a batch of aluminum welded frames for a new type of railway electrical cabinet, designed for an economical EMU operating at speeds up to 200 km/h.
These frames are currently in the semi-finished welding stage. After welding, they will go through pre-paint assembly, powder coating, final assembly and complete cabinet inspection before delivery.
The cabinet frame is made of aluminum to meet lightweight design requirements. At the same time, dimensional control is still critical. One of the key requirements for this product is the diagonal tolerance of the welded frame, which must be controlled within ±1 mm. This requires stable control from material preparation and machining to sheet metal forming, welding and assembly.
For this project, our team is responsible for the full manufacturing process:
Raw material sourcing → CNC machining → sheet metal fabrication → welding → pre-paint assembly → powder coating → post-paint assembly → final cabinet inspection.
Because these cabinets are used in railway vehicles, we also carried out vibration testing and impact testing based on the prototype design. The purpose was to verify that the cabinet structure can meet the technical requirements for railway vehicle electrical cabinets under real operating conditions.
Railway electrical cabinets are not just ordinary enclosures. They need to combine structural strength, lightweight design, dimensional accuracy, surface quality and long-term reliability. For this type of project, stable process control is more important than a single manufacturing step.
At SY Precision, we support customers with CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding, surface treatment coordination, mechanical assembly and inspection. This allows us to manage complex metal cabinet and enclosure projects from raw material to final delivery.
For railway, power, industrial equipment and automation applications, we can provide project-based manufacturing support for cabinet bodies, welded frames, metal enclosures and other customized metal components.
